What a bunch of bullshit. All I want to do is activate the card. Why do I have to jump through all these hoops just to do that? I'll just do on the phone. Credit cards, "the neccesary evil." - Tom Davidson - posted 25 months ago

This is utterly rediculous...just to activate a lousy credit card. Don't you people ever even read these comments and see how you anger you customers. - R Rod Ruby - posted 15 months ago

I totally agree with all these comments, why do you do this? I will use the phone - paul karban - posted 13 months ago

Ihave attempted to activate my card for half hour. It is a joke. I followed directions exactly 10-12 times. I wrote each entry on paper so I could not error in login. I am still locked out.
The most simple approach is to select another card carrier. This is not my first rodeo. I have corporate cards , self employment cards and personal cards for my entire family . AE is the least user friendly of dozens of cards. It is further complicated by dozens if not hundreds of "BENEFITS and other services offered which I have no interest or need. Even if some of the offers were potentially good , I would not apply due to the annoying inconvenient nature.

American Express better make up it's mind what customers
are suppose to do.I think I will start using my other cards
and forget about american express - Rolando R Ponce - posted 10 months ago

Are you kidding? I am calling to activate this card. Why is AMX making this so difficult? - Anne - posted 9 months ago

You need to get some help with your activation website, this progress should be fast and simple, instead it was a complicated situation that couldn't be resolved. Calling on the phone with the robot wasn't an improvement. Eventually talking to a real person I was told my card was
already activated....Amazing !!!! - Susan/ 1-8-12 - posted 8 months ago

I LIKE YOUR CARD I'VE HAD IT FOR YEARS, BUT I HATE TRYING TO ACTIVATE IT. YOU HAVE A BIG PROBLEM CAN'T YOU JUST MAKE A SIMPLE BOX THAT CAN BE CLICK ON AND WE'D BE DONE WITH IT WHAT A PAIN IN THE ----- THIS SIGHT IS....UGGG.. CAROL - CAROL - posted 7 months ago

it's just complicated! bull s.... i was told my #'s wasn't good. maybe they have too many customers. - sharon - posted 5 months ago

I totally agree with everyone else's comments...You'd think that American Express would have someone working that knew what they were doing....Someone in the office should be able to simplify matters, that wouldn't be an irritant to your customers..I'll go to the phone and probably have to listen to an automation now... - Ruth Bible - posted 22 days ago

stupid ill call - - posted 10 days ago

I agree with the above. This is ridiculous..you can't even figure out where to plug in your card numbers to activate.
I'm just going to call!!! - toby taylor - posted 1 day ago
