Took out an account with Capital One. Because of unstable employment was not able to make payments. Was sued and a $300.00 balance turned into over $1200.00 balance. I think this is an outrageous amount to have to pay for a small debt. Have paid well over $300.00 in payments. I am currently unemployed and not able to continue payments at this time. I recieved a Capital One letter in the mail.I was working at this time for a sod farm as a truck driver.I went ahead and sent off for a Capital One credit card .I was making payments to them.I Got laid off later that year I put protection plan in effect when i got the card.
