I received a letter from Cenlar stating that you paid a tax bill for me from my escrow account. I didn't even know that I had an escrow account. You people are so stingy about sending statements to me regarding my mortgage loan status. Loan # 00302994862 Trying to resolve a problem has been an impossible task this morning or last night because your computers were down and I was told to call back. I was on the line for 1/2 hr. with nothing resolved. I could barely understand the person I spoke with and she could not understand me. Bottome line: Cenlar did the same thing last year...they changed my property tax to half the amount and then sent me a refund of $107.72 and reduced my mortgage payment. Again, I tried (with no success) to let her know that the property tax is $1820.72 and not $910.36 and to cancel the ck they sent me and put my loan payment back to the original amount. This girl wanted to know how I know the property tax was not changed. You have got to be kidding me, property taxes going DOWN, NOT A SHOT. Anyway, she said my voice was breaking up and I could not hear her and then the phone went blank. I asked for her manager but told managers don't come to the phone. I need this resolved ASAP. Your website here is pitiful. My house payment was electronically paid by my bank on Nov. 30th, and time allowed to mail the check with a check date of Dec. 3, 2010. That check has still not cleared the bank. When I got a real person at your 1-888-262-0450, that person told me the check was just received today and therefore the payment was late. I said "No," an electronic bill pay direct from the bank means you accept the date of the check as the date the payment was paid. Your person again said "No, the payment was being posted today as the date paid." After going round in circles with this misinformed and DEAD WRONG individual, I hung up, called the bank which has initiated a formal investigation and they said they would educate your people about electronic banking. Incidently, the check was issued from a bank in California and sent to your Los Angeles address. I don't know if I feel better after reading all these stories or worse. Since CENLAR bought over my mortage company it has been a mess. The first 5 months was all about me spending hours trying to get a hold of a real person on the phone and get someone to take the past 4 - 5 payments from me. After MANY e-mails, that were not returned to me I finally got someone on the phone that would take a payment, do not know what country I was speaking to. Everything was so unprofessional, The payments were made, I still have a hard time contacting ANYONE at this company. Now I am getting letters from CENLAR saying we did not pay one, maybe two payments last summer, they want me to take my time to resarch, fax over my cancelled checks because of thier unorganized situation over there at CENLAR. I have had this house for over 12 years now, never had a late payment or cxtra charges, now yesterday I got two threatening letter?????????????? This is the worst company I've ever seen. They buy my loan from Wells Fargo last year 3 months after i moved in. They sent me letters to let me know that i have to pay them now, which is fine, but they were sending them to the wrong address. So for 2 months I was paying wells fargo never knew to pay them because they never called just sent letters to another house. This is their screw up. BE VERY CAREFUL!!! If your payments are getting behind, soon you will get a foreclosure letter and your account will be handled by their attorney. Big fees!!! It happened to me. My loan was sold to CENLAR, I never got the payments information from them, while I was waiting on that, I received a foreclosure letter and a notice to vacate my home.
