About two months ago I bought new windows for my home from Lowes store # 0676, on sheila lane in Richmond, va. 23225, I recieved very good service. I had someone else install them and had an incident where one of the windows wouldn't close. I told them I had cardboard covering the open window. Mr. Kevin Hamlin manager of intillation sales, stoped what he was doing and came over to look at what needed to be done and was able to fix it on site. He refused any payment although it took him about 30 to 45 minutes. He was kind courtous and just asked that I might try their intallers next time. (They don't move away like my guy did). I want to thank you and will use your company more. Claire Whiting - j. claire whiting - posted 41 months ago

Recently I added two outdoor elevated decks to our existing home. In doing so I found your Commercial Service department.
There I met two well informed , effcient, co-operative ladies that helped me through the process of ordering the materials needed. They also took the time to work out the shipping schedules to meet my contractors schedule. As in any project of this size, one deck at 144 square feet and the other at 225 square feet with a new roof nested into the existing roof. The managing and selection of the best material for each shippment required additional efforts over and above " I need some 2x4's and a box of nails." Working with Ms. Tabitha Webb and Beverly Massaro in the Commercial Department made the total project flow properly and promptly. Thank you for having these people in your organization.

My wife and I arrived home from vacation the night of 09/11/10 to discover that our refrigerator/freezer had broken. The next morning we went to Lowe's (store code: 28210-91210-14100)and purchased a new refrigerator. We were informed that delivery would occur that same afternoon. We were delighted with this news - and immediately bought enough ice to salvage the food until delivery, and spent the ensuing few hours preparing for the delivery. By 6:30 we were still waiting for delivery, and I called the store to inquire of time status. I was informed that the delivery would not occur this date, but would occur the following day in the afternoon. I then indicated that I would like to speak to the manager. I explained the situation to the manager(Jody)who, rather than working to rectify the situation, exhibited an attitude. I queried this manager regarding a regional office with which to express our concerns, and he refused to provide this information - nor did he offer an alternative (we found this website per the store receipt.) When i inquired of his surname, the manager refused to provide that as well. The salient concern in this situation is that our freezer held a large amount of food we were at risk of losing - and we planned as well as we could in accordance with the provided delivery date. We had been faithful customers of Lowe's for years - inclusive of custom ordering merchandise - and until now we had always been satisfied. We are extremely disappointed in this display of poor customer service and will reevaluate future patronage of your stores.

I want the store Manager at the Monroe Michigan Lowes to know that I had one of the best shopping experience today. I needed to special order a laundry tub. I went to that department and there was only one person available to help and he was working with another customer. I waited until he finished and he came to help me by looking up the item on the computer. While he was working with me another salesperson came to Bryan and interrupted him and wanted him to answer questions she could not. He did it as quickly as he could and made many sugestions to help the people even though they had not purchased anything there. Bryan returned to help me found the item placed the order and when I asked for the measurements he went back to the computer to find them and printed all the information I needed. All the while the phone was ringing and interrupting him and each time he did his best to get off the phone as fast as he could and all the time he was very polite and professional on the phone and to me. He was cheerful and seemed to really like his job and that is so refreshing in this day and age. He helped me select the correct faucet and checked the box to make sure nothing was missing as it was opened previously. His attitude, smile and professionalism made me glad I came to Lowes. He is a true asset for this store and I feel you should know the best things that happen because you have a great employee. I believe it is up to the Manager to see to it that all employees understand that their behavior with customers can make the store a success and if customers do not come back the emplyoees will not have a job. You need to have more than one person working in the departments that do special orders because I have made many large purchases that have been speical orders and every time it took much longer that necessary because of the phone that was ringing and being answered. The customer in the store should come first not the phone. If a salesperson is writing a special order then another salesperson should have the phone. I have no special details as some above but just want to express my dedication to Lowe's. Over the years my husband and I have purchased many items, large and small at the Lowe's stores, here and in our vacation state. We have been lucky to have always had good experiences. Thank you for the many good people that have made us feel this way. Our most frequented store is #26810-91610-11665. - Donna - posted 40 months ago
recently in the rome ga. lowe's store they stopped taking my veterans license for the 10% discount. they told me that i would have to have a veterans i.d. card. i went to the v.a. office and cheched into this, i was told that the only way i could get this i.d. card was to have retired from the military or be on the v.a. health plan.i am not either of those but i am a vietnam veteran. my first thought was to write my local paper and get them involved in tnis. but this past week i bought a weedeater and attachment and asked the sales person if i could get the 10% veterans and explained the past problem and he told me the reason as he understood it that i couldn't just use my license. i have been a lowes customer in rome since you had the store on redmond rd. you closed and stayed gone several years property had been contaminated with pcb's. recently i purchased a naill gun and a bunch of nails almosr 1000.00 dollars worth.i went to home depot because they still let me use my veterans license, i hope you will reconsider this decision and again accept the veterans license. also as far as some coming in eithout a license we were issued a form called a dd214 that shows our service. i think it would be a plus for us all. keep the chevy running!!!!!!

Dan who works in hardware and tools went way out of his way to help me find a connector for a wrought iron room divider, a very unusual item, but he patiently found what I needed. He was courteous, knowledgeable and very professional. Please thank and reward him for his outstanding customer service. We have had a keyless entry lock for several years and it finally died. We wanted to replace it with the same one because we were pleased with it and it was easy to program. I went on various websites and found Lowes carried the brand we were looking for. Drive to Lowes and find there are no polished brass on shelf..then the rescue crew came. They said they could order one for us , but the lock people gave them the wrong #'s for the order. They pulled up their own website and found the lockset and then went to their store inventory and found they had two in stock that had not been shelved. They hunted them down and we left with entry lock and peace of mind. This store is in Orem, Utah and the employees were Paul F, Nate, Amanda, and Olivia.I hope someone at corporate will give each of them a hearty "Job well done." - K. and J Hardman - posted 39 months ago
Early Spring2010 I bought outdooe carpet it is now full of mold. I went to your website and there it said if you were putting it on cement to pain a special paint onit first. The sales person did tell us that. It would be great if when people purchase outdoor carpet the sales person would have a list of what to do as to where you are putting the carpet, with each outdoor carpet sale. We spent over $200.00 for it and it looks awful after 4 months. I would just ask that instructions for laying the carpet be given to each sale of outdoor carpet. I looked it up on your site and it said to paint this stuff on clean cement before laying the carpet welllllllllllll we had no instructions to tell us that. Money down the toilet so to speak. Thanks for listening and in the future maybe all carpet sales could have instructions with it. Bought it in Mansfield Ohio store. - Paul Cok - posted 39 months ago

on 10-19-10 I called whirlpool regarding our water heater that would stay lit. The rep walked me through a few attemts to field check the problem then told me I needed to get a replacement thermostat which was still under warranty. I was given case, sku, and c.a. numbers and told to go to the lowes store where I had bought the appliance and get the part. When I got to the service dept. I gave the information to Angelica and went to the appliance section ,got the part did the rest of my shopping ,and went back to Angelica to ring up the part then to cashier to pay for the other purchases. As I was heading for the exit Angelica came to my cart ,took the replacment part from my cart and said that she needed to take this to Andrew, her suppervisor. I ofcourse was embarassed as it must have appeared to others that I had been apprehended trying to leave the store with something not paid for. I followed Angelica to Andrew who explained to me that he could not allow me to take the part until I bring in the old part. I explained to Andrew and then to His supervisor that I live way out in the valley and by the time I drive home ,remove the old part and return it would cost Me agreat deal of time and money.I asked if there was any way I could as a long time card member arrange to just bring the old part back on the next trip, but Andrew said thats against our policy. Finally I was able to get his supervisor to let Me simply pay for the part and go home. If you tried to come up with a plan to embarass, irritate, and alienate a good customer you could not do better. At this store #1707 you have a few really helpful people like Barry, in commercial sale and the blond girl who works at the same servie dept. when my wife returned the old part ,But for the most part your customer service attitude is very unprofessional. Sincerely, Greg Mattison. - GregMattison - posted 37 months ago

Today we returned a tool that we received as a Christmas gift from our son, we only wanted to exchange it for another tool which we needed and the incompatent cashier credited it back to our son's debit card and now we don't have the tool or money . I called and complained to the store and they didn't seem to care that we didn't have the tool or the money, so your store lost $191.00 in sales. She told me they always credited it back to the person's debit card. I told her that it was not a credit but a debit and that a debit is same as cash. If the response that I received from the store is standard, I don't intend on shopping at you store any long, I will go to Home Depot.
We did have the receipt. We also called our son to let him know what happened and his comment was: Why did they do such a stupid thing....
I hope you have a blessed day.

Just A little Constructive Criticism. Yesterday 4(-15-2011) I attepted to buy some bags of Scotts Turfbuilder at Lowes in Oneonta, New York. ((19670-41511-19535) When I checked the Bags in stock I found they were hard as a rock. I had once bought some Scotts Ferilizer that was also hard as a rock from Home Depot. When I took it back the Garden Manager nasilly told me All fertilizer has lumps in it. I agreed that some do, but this stuf was so hard I couldn't chop it out with a large screwdriver, and it damned sure would never would flow through my spreader. He begrudgenly refunded my Purchase price. This cost me a lost day and I still didn't have fertilizer. Needlesly to say I left there pissed and haven't bought a garden product ther again. I informed the check out girl of what I had found and it seemed that she could care less. So when I got home called the Lowes Store To alert the Manager of what I had found, but the Manager wae not ther, I was told a note would be left for him to inform him of the situation. Again, lost time and I still didn't get my fertilizer, and have to find A store with this years stock that hasn't been exposed to dampness all winter. You have lost my purchase, and if you continue to sell what is in stock now, you may loose more dissatisfied customers. I think it would be wise to have your managers be more alert to the codision of spoilable prducts..By the way I have to pass right by Home Depot to getto Lowes, now I wonder if it is wother the extra milage. - Howard Lynch - posted 26 months ago

We purchased a refrigerator and were told it was not in stock, but they would order one and deliver it in 6 days. Three days later we were called and informed that the refrigerator had come in, but was damaged and they would have to order another one and deliver it the following week. The morning of the 2nd delivery date we received another call informing us that the 2nd refrigerator was severely damaged and could not be delivered. They offered to issue a credit which I accepted. However, Lowe's has not given us the full amount but has deducted $52.48 from the credit - with no explanation. Since we received no goods or services - except for a two week delay in delivery - this is totally unacceptable. We will not shop Lowe's in the future and have advised all of our neighbors of this incident. - Bob Jenkins - posted 21 months ago

I really got a good deal on this dented up refrigerator but noticed an ad for the date I purchased it and it said 15% discount on any energy appliance so I went back and they said I couldn't get this discount because it was a special markdown already.
I think this is false advertising since there was no stipulation on what appliance is sold I truly think I'm eligible for this discount even if this refrigerator was marked down drastically

STORE CODE:17770-70411-13309 My husband and I enjoy shopping at lowe's. However in last few visits we find that the customer service is not good. We cannot seem to find anyone that can help us or even know what they are doing. We have spent lots of money remodeling our home and doing landscaping. The garden center is horrible. The plants are not watered. When they begin to wither they put them on a clearance rack when all they need is to be watered everyday at least twice a day whenever it is hot. My husband sent me to get some brads for his bradd gun, I stood at the counter where they are suppose to be looking for them almost 30 minutes, there were a group of employees at the special order counter for windows standing talikng, no help. Employees walking by no one stopped asked if they could help. We are having to load our material, no one to help. It seems the customer service that they are suppose to have they don't. We can take our business to another store where there is good customer service. thanks - LILA BRANT - posted 20 months ago

The next morning I took the removed panel to Lowes, Store #1755. A young lady by the name of Kate Neafus, priced the panel out for me and gave me a short tutorial in advanced electrical work.
