The postal service in Lakeview OR is totally rancid. There can be 15 to 20 customers waiting for access to the service window and only one window is ever opened. The staff is slow, obviously ineffecient/complacient and often rude. You never know when your home mail is to be delivered. You should stop selling a delivery service if you are not going to deliver. Every time I get a package I have to go 5 miles to the post office to get it UPS FedX they don't have any trouble delivering to my house but the post office they always have a excuse I was home all day Monday when they say they tried to deliver. If you are not going to deliver you should stop taking the money for delivering.

We sent a USPS Priority box on November 30 from Iowa to Virginia and was promised 2 day delivery by the clerk as well as on the receipt we received. It was not delivered until 6 days later on the following Monday. Some food items were in the box and they were spoiled. When contacting our local PO here in Mason City the same clerk rudely told us that Priority mail can't be delivered that fast and to get two day delivery would cost us over $20. At the Boring, Oregon, Post Office-Phil- tried to tell me that the only way a package could get to Minnesota in less than 11 days was by air!! Of course the cost for air was $29.00!! He said Ground Delivery was not possible because of the snow storm 2 days ago. He referenced the snow storm several years ago in Portland, Oregon and the mail could not be delivered. I sent a Priorty Mail Medium Flat Rate Box today from MOODY Al and it was the wrong address. It was sent to P O BOX 12512 OLYMPIA WA 98508 Zone-8. I did not know that the town of LACEY WA had built a new POST OFFICE and my Box should have gone to P O Box 3216 LACEY WA 98509-3216.
IS THERE ANYTHING YOU CAN DO TO HELP ME. Could I get a phone number so I can call them in the morning and see if they could maybe hold my BOX there so my son could drive there and pick it up. Please help if you can.
I know that this is my fault but please help if you can. I would appreciate this very much.

mailed package Priority Mail to Avon Colorado..returned next day dur to incorrect address..NOT INCORRECTas I verified it by phone immediately..apparently PO does Not deliver mail in Avon Colorado!!UPS delivers, FedEx delivers but not USPO..Also talked to intended recipient by phone, was informed of problem with postal system, also was told lines ar very long to pick up mail in person, clerks are rude and surly, and I had to PAY twice,($9.95) for shipment.Was in fromed that PO is too busy to look up PO Box for intended recipient even tho records are right at hand..No wonder USPO losing $,I'll never use PO to Avon Colorado again!! Received the postal survey yesterday 12/16/2010 and today 12/17/2010 I attempted to file the survey online. I tried entering the LOGIN and PASSWORD and it would not accept those that were provided on the form. Tried to contact the 888 number and was on hold for several minutes before I decided to sent up the proverbial white flag. Keep in mind, this Case in Point, the survey takers were hired by the USPS! Just received my sisters Christmas present from California in a priority envelope and it had been torn open and the small gift wrapped package had been removed removed!! I send out thousands of piceses of mail a year for many years.I find in some cases that I have troubel with some of the postmasters.I send out mail by the balk rate for the past year.about a mounth ago I stoped at Newry Pa and ask the postmaster for how many po boxes they had.she counted them and I asked her to put it on paper and sign it.she would not do this.
i talked to my balk mail postmaster and she said that in order for me to put one letter in every box the postmaster must put it in writing how many boxes they have being used.
I have called Newry pa 16665
post office and they will not send me it in writing.
THEY TELL ME TO KEEP CALLING BACK THEY TELL ME ON THE PHONE HOW MANY IT IS BUT THAT DOES NOT HELP ME WHEN I DELIVER THEM TO ELAINE JONES BUSINESS MAIL ENTRY UNIT.

On Friday, December 17, 2010 I mailed a package to my brother who is dying of cancer and being taken care of by a Hospice Center. I sent it Express Mail, plus paid extra to have it delivered on Sunday. It was suppose to be delivered at 3P.M. Sunday at the address given in Salt Lake City, Utah. As of this time 3:16 P.M. Monday, December 20, 2010, the package has still not been delivered. The cost of mailing it was $40.25 for a package that weighed 1lb. 9oz. I called several Postal Numbers this morning,and on one, kept having the phone service stopped. I finally got in touch with one lady and told her the circumstances. She informed me that she would check on the item and see if she could find where it might be and would get back with me, but as of this time of 3:19 p.m. Central time, I am still waiting. It is no wonder the Postal Service is having the problems it is having if others have had the same problem I have had. I helped the service last week by mailing 81 Christmas cards to friends and relatives, but with the situation that it is now, I probably will not send any more packages through your service. Mailed a box out of Bushnell , fl to Madison ,Wi .. Pd 15.91 for conf/delv.. Box was sent 14th of Dec. and it is now the 22nd soon to be the 23rd and no delivery !!! I have mailed 2 packages priority mail confirmation on dec 20, 2010 was told it would be delivered in 2 days. pd extra ballon rates & it is now dec 24,2010 still no packages delivered. It seems that post office people do not care what our comment is. However I am writing my opinion that the people waiting on you need to be more honest. I also had a package to mail asked the clerk would it get there before Christmas mailing it on Monday Christmas being on Sat. She said priority mail will have it there in 2-3 days. If I had mailed it regular mail it would have gotten there in 4. But to make sure I mailed it priority mail it still has not gotten there and it has been over a week. Went to postal office and was told no quarantee well geez I could have saved money and mailed it regular mail. it would have gotten there sooner. This postal unit needs to manage its stations with more personnel continually because there is always, always a line of customers of at least 20 and more persons waiting to be served. I have never seen less than the above number in line at this post office. They generally have only two postal clerks to serve customers. That is simply not enough, ever. In all the post offices I have been to in the US -- DC, NY, Mt. Dora, FL, et al -- customers have been much, much better served by postal clerks. This particular post office is in the capital of FL, Tallahassee, and it demeans what a working, efficient post office should be to the public. This post office is just not fulfilling the postal needs of the Tallahassee public. Furthermore, when one inquires who is the postmaster of this facility or who is the manager of the facility, one is met with stone silence. The Post Office is quasi-government and should be open to the public. This post office is the most disappointing of any post office I have ever encountered in the US in every way. For this post office to represent the capital of FL is a travesty. What can you do to make it work?
