The branch in Perth is fab. Really lovely attentive and polite staff, they are properly trained, unlike the ones in Wales who are one step up the ladder from frogspawn. This is no reflection on F&B, Wales is the same everywhere. The pasta in Perth was great, as was the sauce. They can make a REAL gin and tonic too! The waiter was a lovely young man who knew his job.The place was well cared for, clean, warm, and played great music. An all round great experience. - Rosemary Davies - posted 37 months ago

i always look forward to finishing my evening at F&B's (Spalding) after i have played a bowls match. The service and food is always excellent - and of course the music! - John Dawson - posted 37 months ago

Bury Branch in lancashire on Monday 22nd November 2010. The waiter Owen is a credit to the company and I feel the manager should be aware of how polite and good at his job he is. We will be dine there again. - christine morrison - posted 35 months ago

Newcastle 25th Novemeber 2010. Left 10 minutes to be seated although very few customers. Staff uninterested and abrupt. Food poor quality and quantity. Told no milk for the coffe? Then milk arrved and accidently poured down granddaughter's coat. Not the experience I am used to At F&b'S - James Bewick - posted 35 months ago

Turned up without a booking at telford on Saturday 27th after a long drive from Norfolk. Place was heaving, staff really helpful and friendly told a 30 minute wait and at table in 23mins. Pasta was great (Chicken and prawn Alfredo), house salad and garlic bread mediocre and not good value but overall enjoyed the ambience and food. Wine was good, (house merlot). Will be back - Geoff Avis - posted 35 months ago

We went to the Braintree Freeport Frankie & Benny's. The food was excellent and the atmosphere congenial. The service was very good, with happy smiling waiters and waitresses. We had a wonderful evening. Thank you. - Chrissie Watson - posted 35 months ago

Had booked for the newport rd Cardiff Restaurant-we had a friendly welcome and we seated right away 1.25p.m.Ordered drinks and then food. All 9 meals for our party were enjoyed. Our plates were eventually cleared away. The waitress was rather busy so it was quite some time before I could catch her eye to ask for dessert menus. We eventually got them and made our choices. Our order hadn't been taken by 3p.m. so we paid for our main course and left feeling disappointed because we were celebrating our grandaughters 8th Birthday. - mr g t rice - posted 35 months ago

We booked a table at the Foss Island one to take our grandchildren out for a meal
Friendly greeting escorted to our table by a very smiley member of staff,we did not have to wait long for our order to be taken by a very attentive member of staff and our meal arrived extremely quickly and piping hot.It was a super evening thank you to every one who looked after so well. - Pat Robinson - posted 35 months ago

Went to the Newport Road Frankie and Bennys last night, during our two hour visit we had three birthday celebrations which were all followed by the playing of Cliff Richard`s Congratulations for about 4 mins, food was a bit slow which the waitress apologised for, and it was busy, but having eaten a Cajun Chicken bake and an apple an rhubarb crumble, along with two pints of Carling lager @ £4.20 a pint I was still peckish and I am average build and appetite. - Howie - posted 34 months ago

Actually we were very impressed, we had been a few times before and it looked dirty, tables full with littered waste. but wow, we were on our way to the cinema and had an absolutely fabulous meal. no waiting or anything. would definately reccommend to anyone. - D.D.CONNER - posted 34 months ago

We had a fab time, pick my daughter from Uni, went out for a treat, Sam our waiter was brilliant customer service was great... Frankie & Benny's in Morecambe set a very high standard, warm welcoming, worth the 347 mile trip.
Thanks to all who were on tonight.

Had a great and quick service, even though it was busy and they had tables reserved....fitted us hungry peeps in! So...thank you Frankie and Benny's in Feltham and thanks to the amazing waitress...who was polite, funny and quick, even though she had been on her feet for hours! - Sima & family and friends - posted 34 months ago

visited Wrexham Plas Coch restaurant tonight. Have been there many times before and been quite happy but not tonight. I chose Philly steak bake which was tasty but the portion size was like a starter, certainly not £9.75 worth.I did tell the waiter but he said thats what you get, great. My wife and I then ordered a Godfather to share £7.25.This arrived in a kind of cereal bowl,I'm sure we've had this before in a giant sundae dish when it looked more like it.I'm not sure if this is the particular branch doing their own thing or the whole company but I was very disappointed with both the portions and reaction to my complaint. Sorry F+B, theres plenty of other places who try harder. It was my sons 19th birthday and his choice where we went, what a let down - mark evans - posted 34 months ago

December 27th at Newport road, Cardiff .
5of us sat down. We waited for 20 minutes before the waitress asked for our drinks order. Having already chosen our meals, so we ordered them at the same time. Our drinks came ten minutes later, our food another half an hour. I could see our food sitting on the counter waiting to be served. It sat there for 10 minutes. When it was brought to our table, it was Luke warm, the Lasagne was cold in the middle.
We complained, 3of the meals were taken back only to be returned, one by one , in a 15 minute interval, which meant the last of our party was served as the first of our party were finishing their meal.
We asked for the manager, who discounted our bill. But the attitude was unacceptable. Apparently all other customers were told there would be an hours delay in being served, we were not. The manager then blamed the kitchen staff, the waitress, the weather.
It will be a hell of a long time before we go back, especially as there is a very good and efficient. TGI,s down the road.
We then discovered there was a general manager on duty who deemed our complaint unworthy of his attention.

went to Selby as a treat for our children. even tho the food was brill the overall service was very poor with having to wait a very long time for our food and the attention from staff was very poor. - Carol ward - posted 33 months ago

I take my daughter to F&B's in Metrocentre Gateshead regularly as the service is always efficient and it's very child friendly- the kids menu is great value. Today we shared a lunch menu and it was brought to us on two plates- most places just give you a side plate so you split it yourself. It is always well staffed, food is tasty and coffee strong enough to fuel a shopping spree. Ticks my box! - a coleman - posted 33 months ago

sunday.2/1/11, 12.15pm. first time in a f/b, comfortable seating, good atmosphere, good menue, some unusual meals, I had the lamb shank,a bit on the small side! my wife had sticky tiger prawn salad- very nice! we enjoyed the meal,i would liked to have had steak, but are to dear!(£19 for a rib eye ).we will return with grandkids for the special menus, - m.mcguinness - posted 33 months ago

the worst meal we have ever had out as a family and such a shame as it was for our daughter's birthday with 5 of her friends, we waited over an hour for our meal, then got 7 out of 8 main meals brought to the table, one was incorrect, then we received our starters! then we received the missing meal and the correct meal then we were given the garlic bread we'd ordered and hour and a half earlier on arrival! One meal was also inedible as totally burnt! Manager did apologise and did not charge us for the 2 incorrect meals but this didnt make up for a spoilt birthday celebration - smith family - posted 33 months ago

Wicked food ,good service

On3rd jan 2011 I decided to take my granddaughter to selly oak branch of F&B, which is probably my favourite eating place and Birmingham has a wealth of alternate places to eat. Until now I have never had cause to complain.on arrival
i was told that no table was ready I would have to wait. Having had a knee replacement I suggested I sit at the table and she could clean it then. Twenty minutes later I had been offered no service whatso-ever.During those twentymins.she seated and served 4 customers. when I asked for the Manager she did not appear,I went over to the manager who was even ruder than her staff. With this I left the restuarant.I will not use Selly Oak F&B again.Surely as we TIGHTEN our belts in the recession you cannot afford to treat your customers like this. I would appreciate acknowledgement of this complaint

Gloucester staff were really friendly and made our Christmas Eve really special. - clare - posted 33 months ago

My family and I have been to 2 of your restaurants. The first time at Brighton marina I vowed to never go again after the poor service, not being given the correct food and waiting over an hour for food. My daughter persuaded us to try again at Chichester gate. I wished we hadn't bothered. We were shown to a dirty table had to ask for our order to be taken after 15 mins waiting. Our drinks didn't come so after another 15 mins my daughter went and brought them back herself. When the food came the waitress was rude when we asked for cutlery so we got them ourselves. We had to ask for the bill twice and waited another 15 mins for that. All the while staff were turning customers away even though half the restaurant was empty. We won't bother again - mrs greest - posted 33 months ago

My daughter works in Lloyds bar I recommend any one wanting a good meal, well priced, served by cheerful staff and within 15 minuits go there and not Frankie and Bennys who do not seem to be able to train their staff properly. - mrs greest - posted 33 months ago

The branch in Kettering was warm and inviting catering for all age groups. Good food at reasonable prices, service very good and staff cheerful and helpful. - Mrs Margaret Whyte - posted 33 months ago
